my problem is, the part at the bottom of the ipod where you would stick the charger is jammed. I can stick the charger in, but no charge. screen does not come on. any one have any helpful info to fix this?

No doubt the tech taking apart the iPod Touch could do with a rusty snow shovel. I tried it using a putty knife like he did and destroyed the touch screen logic board connector. Wrong tool unless you've done it many times. Very poorly done.

@emily - what happens when you connect it to iTunes and try to restore it to factory defaults? If it fails or is not detected by your computer, it is most likely a damaged logic board.

my iPod touch with model number a1318 was submerged in water several years back. It can still turn on and screen touch sensitivity still works, it just says iPod disabled and to connect to iTunes. Can it be fixed several years later?

My Ipod A1318 doesnt turn spear off when I put headset jack in. I mean bouth are playing music so every one can listen to the music from the Ipod even I m wearing the head set. Any advises plz?

@Nick - it shouldn't be too hard. I haven't known batteries to move on their own or bite. So just get a cage and throw it in there.
