@Claudio - what information are you needing? If you are not sure what model you have, you can put your serial number into the Parts By Serial page at the top of our site.

@Jenni - it is most likely an issue with the logic board overheating or the graphics chip itself. you may want to check if your fans are working properly and possibly reapply some thermal paste onto the logic board. otherwise, the logic board may need to be repaired or replaced.

@Jenni: It seems you have a known problem with this model. It is a NVIDIA issue. search for "a1226" and "NVIDIA issue" and you will get a lot of hits

u missed showing the the disconnection procedures of the other end of the wires that connect to the mother board and helps to identify and compare it to our own computer. No?

My computer randomly becomes very pixelated and the screen turns partially green and freezes. Sometimes when I restart after this the apple logo is also pixelated and green. Appears to be frozen but I hear my email login if I wait even though I can only see the loading screen. Also overheats very easily. Any idea what this might be? Thank you.

Jerry - Same issue with the clamp. In fact, I'm up to two clamps now. Wondering if you got your problem resolved and how?

@Miguel - If it has a charged battery and won't turn on while plugged in, it'll be the logic board. If the battery is dead and there is no light on the plug, it may be just the magsafe or power adapter itself.

Hello Guys yes that video was very nice I got some good ideas how to take apart my A1226 macpro thank you guys you are genius my mac pro A1226 do not power on please let me know what is the problem if will cost a lot of money thanks again
