Jerry - Same issue with the clamp. In fact, I'm up to two clamps now. Wondering if you got your problem resolved and how?

@Miguel - If it has a charged battery and won't turn on while plugged in, it'll be the logic board. If the battery is dead and there is no light on the plug, it may be just the magsafe or power adapter itself.

Looks like the backlight is dying, when screen turns any shade of red, its a sign that the backlight is dying, that is if you have the LCD and not the LED
