This is a brand new inverter board for the Powerbook G4 Aluminum 15". This is the board that the inverter cable plugs into and controls the backlight to the display. If you can only make out very faint images on your display, then the inverter board is most likely the culprit. It is a common failure on the Aluminum 15" models
