Description

How can the Time Capsule be improved?

The Time Capsule is quite powerful by embracing the Draft-N 2.0 specification, however there is plenty of room for improvement. The MIMO (Multi-Input Multi-Output) antennas are all quite modest in receptive sensitivity and transmission capability. More sensitive external antennas can remedy this. This is exactly what we are offering. This seems especially critical when transferring files. File transfer is the one area where your network can really perform to its potential (unlike serving Internet, where you are dependent on your ISP and the server/website you are connecting to).

Optimal Antenna Placement

This upgrade includes triple 3dBi antennas that articulate to point in most directions which can help the reception. Having an external setup offers the flexibility of using coaxial cable to put your antennas where the reception/transmission is best. This means you can put your antenna array up very high, maximizing its potential.

Performance and Contents

The range increase is up to 50% greater coverage than a standard Time Capsule. Our kit offers the upgraded antenna array and a 4 foot coaxial cable to wring more performance out of the Time Capsule. This is fully compatible with the other 802.11 standards of A, B, and G. The speed will climb much closer to the theoretical yield of 300 megabits per second.
