Description:

This is a brand new left hinge assembly set for the Powerbook G4 Titanium. This is the new style STEEL hinge which replaces the damage prone Aluminum hinges that shipped with the Titanium models. These hinges work on all of the Powerbook G4 Titanium models.

NOTE: These hinges have recently been redesigned to be even stronger. The hinges will be slightly shorter in length than the originals and do not have the ends painted in light grey as the original hinges did. The ends of these steel hinges will be unpainted steel.

Note: You have the option to buy just the hinge, or you can buy a complete hinge repair kit which includes:
  • QuickSet Epoxy
  • 1 Plastic Spring Loaded Clamps

The TRUTH about STEEL Hinges

The flaw with the Titanium Powerbooks hinges is that the original hinges were made of a very light metal, aluminum. Aluminum is extremely malleable, and therefore extremely easily broken, unlike steel hinges.
