Get the best wireless out of your Mac Pro!

Mac Pros come with no wireless. There is a build to order option for 802.11 n (or G, depending on when it was made). Unfortunately, these are restricted to internal antennas, which creates a distinct problem when inside a metal case, hampered Wi-Fi. The Mac Pro upgrade we offer fixes this problem! You can use the Tri-Band Antenna to connect to 2/3 antenna connectors on your existing wireless card. This will increase range of your wireless up to 50%. This proves to be valuable when configuring a home network without nasty cables to trip over.

But why stop there? We also are offering the newest in WiFi technology, a full Tri-Band capable Wireless Card. This replaces your existing (or missing) 802.11 b/g/n card (1 or two connector) with an 802.11 a/b/g/n card (3 connector). Even Apple does not offer this card for their Mac Pro. This in combination with the Tri-Band Antenna ensures the best possible performance for your Mac Pro.

Please note: PowerMacs do not have the proper expansion slot for this upgrade, therefore only the Tri-Band Antenna can be used. Not recommended for use with non-MIMO (multi-antenna) wireless cards.

works with all the wireless standards**:
802.11 a - 5.0 ghz, 300 Mbits per second
802.11 b - 2.4 ghz, 11 Mbits per second
802.11 g - 2.4 ghz, 54 Mbits per second
802.11 n - 2.4 ghz, 300 Mbits per second

**actual speed dependent on AirPort Base Station (or Router) settings and physical barriers.
