Thanks for the help on the video, However you have the camera in the wrong place. We can pretty much only see your arm most of the time.

@roxieonthego - there is not really a reset button. you can hold down the power button to turn it off or you can sync it to iTunes to factory reset it.

@taufik - if you have forgotten your password, you'll need to sync it up to your computer to reset it. This may require erasing the iPod.

Help!!! How does one know whether it's the battery or the hard drive that my 160 Ipod doesn't work

Powerbook Medic

@Hi - the battery is soldered to the logic board so it isn't something we cover in this video as it does require some expertise. If you don't have any soldering experience, I would recommend having it done professionally or replacing the logic board.

Hi, what about battery removing?

There is nothing about dissembling battery and placing new one.

Powerbook Medic

@Christopher - it is hard to say. It could be a faulty battery getting too hot or some of the chips on the logic board are coming loose.

My Ipod Touch 5th gen is having overheating issues. Any idea what may be the cause of this right off hand?

Powerbook Medic

@win - most likely. Your best bet may be to find someone selling a dead logic board or dead ipod and harvest it yourself. We may eventually sell them if we ever get an abundance of bad boards, but no ETA on that.

@ Medic - Thanks for the speedy reply, so is it only available with the logic board?

Powerbook Medic

@win - the front facetime camera is soldered to the logic board. that'll be the reason you are not finding one.

Is there a deal where you can get all the parts for this iPod for a discounted package price, then assemble the whole thing yourself? I have computer know-how, and would rather build one myself for cheap then spend money at the store. Thanks!

can u reassemble it again??

Powerbook Medic

@melissa - that sounds like a lot of issues. If the device is not detected by your computer and you are using a good cable, that is typically going to be a logic board issue. Given everything else, I would advise getting it professionally diagnosed. You can send it in to us for a free diagnosis or you may have someone local that can look at it.
