power adapter for tangerine ibook

I am on the third power adapter for my ibook, in each case the wire has broken right at the plug that goes into the computer due to metal fatigue (you can see sparking before it fails and a darkening of the plastic casing.) It seems stupid to have to junk the whole unit because the wire has broken... is there a fix for this?

I would love to find the connector and I would do the soldering myself. I have not been able to find them.... However, if you do would you let me know... I will do the same.

I too have had this problem. I am in no doubt that this is a design fault. Let me know if you find a place to buy just the DC connector
