I have tried to up grade my Lombard to Mac OS 10.2, but the computer keeps freezing. I have 512mb ram. Can all Lombards be upgraded to 10.2? I have the 400mhz model. Any Suggestions on what the problem might be!!!!! I was told to take out the top ram card and try to install, but same problem with installing 10.2

Some of the 400mhz processors don't take to installing OSX. Removing the top ram chip is one fix sometimes...other than that, installing a 64MB chip in the bottom slot is also a possible fix. If those don't work, then you probably have a 400mhz Revision 2.2 card, and those are known to have issues installing OSX.

I have a Lombard 333mhz and it runs fine with 10.2.
I hear that Lombards have memory issues if you have over 356(or whatever the next step up from 256mb is) with Panther and Jaguar.
