Post subject: No power when keyboard is connected
PostPosted: Thu Sep 18, 2008 9:57 am
Hello all,
I have a Lombard 333 that i recently purchased off ebay. After buying some replacement parts for it, I've tried to get it up and running, but I've noticed as long as the keyboard ribbon is connected, the machine won't power on. sometimes i can wiggle the connector and the book will boot, but the keys only work for a few minutes, then some randomly work but not for any length of time. any ideas? any help would be greatly appreciated before i go and spend more money. At this rate I could have had a decent pismo by now lol

Chris

That is a pretty strange issue. It is probably going to end up being the logic board, but I would try a keyboard first as that is fairly cheap and extremely easy to install.

You may want to take it to an Apple repair shop and see if they can just slap in a new keyboard to confirm.
