Post subject:  iPhone got wet

My iPhone was submerged in water. I blew it out with compressed air and sealed it in a ziplock bag with an Evadry silica gel unit until the fog had cleared from the camera lens. I couldnt turn it off manually, so It apparently shut itself down when the battery ran down. Once the lens was clear, I took it out of the bag and let it charge. It came back on when it had power.

Everything but the power button is now working perfectly. I don't know if the power button is a non- electronic part. Is this likely to be a fault in button assembly, or is this more likely to be a fault in the logic unit? How can I tell which part is bad?

Thanks!

There's most likely some corrosion on the cable inside. You'd have to open it up to see the damage.

I agree! Have your phone checked with a technician.
