I have a 2008 13" Macbook and I want to upgrade my OS X from Leopard to Lion this summer but I really want to be able to utilize the swiping features. So I have a few questions...
1. Do the new features apply only to the new multi-touch trackpads?
2. Is it possible to replace my current trackpad with a multi-touch?
Thank you!

1) Yes, you'll need a multi-touch trackpad.
2) This we aren't sure. We've put a non-multitouch trackpad on one originally with multitouch and it still worked but just didn't support multitouch, so it may work the other way around. We'll try to test it out, but I'm thinking it'll work.

Thanks for the reply! If you figure it out please do let me know. I'm so curious and I'd love to switch them if I could
