My mac is a 15"Pro with 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7 ,4GB RAM and the OS version is 10.7.4. The problem is that - my iTunes stopped playing out of a sudden so i tried to click the play button but there's no response. When i tried to adjust the volume using the volume keypad on the on-board-keyboard,I can't as an icon with a slash on a speaker appears.So i restarted my mac and there's no start-up chime or whatsoever,Though i can do everything (using browsers , Net-Beans , Adobe ..) except for playing video files using VLC player,QuickTime player , iTunes ....... //I've already reset PRAM but still no sound ...
