I have a Macbook Pro 17" 2.5 GHz machine and when I close the lid, I have to gently press against the right-rear of the lid in order to line up the lid/LCD so it latches correctly. Otherwise, the latches won't like up correctly.
This, I think is more of an alignment issue as the lid does not look like it's bent or damaged, i think something in the LCD area may be loose. I checked the screws that hold the LCD to the base and they were fairly tight. I think the next step would be to remove the LCD & lid and check in the lid area for loose screws or misaligned hinge and i was wondering if there's a procedure to follow? If so, could you please let me know what to do?
