I have a 15" Macbook Pro 2 gig ..I replaced the video cable to try and cure the interrmittant problem when positioning the LCD...The new cable worked fine until the unit really warmed up...Then one must move the lcd to find a position where it will stay lighted steadily...Then after some time it will go out again other times it will stay on as long as one keeps active...I did buy a used cable..is this a common problem and should I get a new cable? Or are there other probable causes? Tnx R

As long as that cable was good, it should have fixed the problem you were having. You may want to make sure the cable is not getting pinched in the hinge. Otherwise it may be an LCD problem.
