Hello,
I had recently taken my 17" MacBook Pro to an Apple Store for an in-store repair. The technicians replaced my logic board, and now my Apple remote/IR Receiver is not recognized by my OS, either in System Profiler or System Preferences> Security. What is going on? is there just a loose cable, and how do I check the logic board on the MacBook Pro to see if it has a bad connection, or a bad cable, or is there something else wrong? I have tested 2 different Apple remotes and they are both transmitting.

They probably didn't plug it back in. The IR sensor connects to the hard drive cable then to the logic board.
