Post subject: spill on trackpad - best course of action?
PostPosted: Sun Dec 28, 2008 10:49 pm
Spilled an ounce or so of red wine on my macbook pro front and trackpad yesterday - didn't get on the keyboard at all, and I can't imagine more than a couple of drops got inside the case. Powered off, removed the battery, and cleaned the outside and let sit for around 24 hours before using. Everything seems more-or-less OK today, but for a somewhat dull, clunky feel to the center part of the trackpad - more of a nuisance now but I'm afraid it might get worse with time. What might be the best course of action/parts to order to increase the chances of a normal macbook life?

Thanks in advance.

I would just give it more time to try and dry out, but if it doesn't get any better, the only fix is replacing the top case.
