The Intel Mac Mini has had 3 major revisions. The first is the Core Duo model that originally came with 512MB (2x256) of DDR2 RAM and could address up to 2GB. The Core 2 Duo models originally came with 1GB (2x512MB) of DDR2 RAM and could address up to 3GB. The newer 2009 models moved up to DDR3 RAM and originally came with 1, 2, or 4GB depending on model and can address up to 8GB.
