My Pismo will not start up unless I hit the reset button. I need to replace my pram battery as the clock/date do not hold but otherwise the machine runs perfectly. Is this a cache problem?
The battery charges normally and the trackpad works just fine - once restarted the computer runs normally. I am confused as to why the PMU board would be the problem?
9 times out of 10 it will be the procesesor. Once in a while though the PMU needs replacement. It is the cheaper alternative, so many people prefer to start with that.
