Would it work to put a mid-2009 2.53 GHz logic board in my mid-2010 Macbook Pro which currently has a dysfunctional 2.4 GHz logic board. I appreciate your reply.

No It probably won't work. Boards from the same release date are typically interchangeable but not different year models.
