I'm talking about the display/monitor. It seems that every single one I've ever come across eventually get that vertical green line running from top to bottom. Was this ever corrected in later releases? Or is it inevitable that it will definitely happen eventually? I would love to buy and install a new one, but I'm not going to do that if it's just going to happen again. I already have two with this problem.

Vertical lines are typically an issue with the display cable which happens a lot on the Titaniums because of the hinge design where the cable can easily get damaged.

Interesting. So, is it possible to replace just that cable?

if you can find one. apple never sold them separately and the display is a pain to get into and put back together, so they are rare.
