Hi, I just replaced the left i/o board on my macbook pro 15" (A1260). It all seemed to go straightforward, but upon start up after reassembly my screen is dim to the point of almost black, but I can see enough to log in and see that everything seems to be working otherwise. I took it apart and re-checked my connections - nothing jumps out as wrong.
Could I have damaged the ambient light sensor? What else could I have broken?
Thanks for any help.

Hi, I now see that the inverter cable gets power from the i/o board. inverter cable looks fine - is it possible that my new i/o board is bad? (reason for replacement is faulty headphone jack)
Any way to check?
Thanks.

OK - reinstalled my original mag safe board and all is well (except for my headphone jack prob). Guess I just got a bad new board.
