 Post subject: pinwheel

I just got the screen replaced on my mac and now when i go to fire her up the pinwheel stays on, it never ever turns off? what would cause this? it seems like it is just waiting to load and never does, I can go to open a program and it opens it but then the pinwheel stays on for that... any help??

the pinwheel usually means it is having trouble moving data from the hard drive to the RAM and to the processor. You may want to check and see if it is recognizing the correct amount of RAM you have in the machine. Then you may want to go in and reseat the RAM. A chip may be in loose or crooked.
