I'm trying to replace the optical drive in a i-book G4 14" 1.2ghz (A1055). The closest instructional video I find is a i-book G4 12", and I have had no problem removing the bottom covers, (though I found extra screws retaining the metal shield) but, when I try to remove the upper cover, it is substantially different. Is there any video or PDF available for my model, or can someone give me guidance?

There are a few long screws going from the bottom to the top case as well as the screws on the lip of the optical drive. Make sure you remove those.
