Hi.
I plugged in two different external drives working fine on other computers and my powerbook can not find them. I don't know what's wrong but need to find out. One drive has self power cable so it is probably not a power issue? USB ports are working fine for other peripherals... Does anyone know what is going on? Thank you.

Some external drives require two usb cables to get enough power to power it on and get it spinning.
if it still doesn't work with two cables, there may be a problem with one of your USB ports or a compatibility problem with the external drive.
