My 80 G 5th generation Ipod has a screen that is one- third blueish white and two-thirds white separated by a vertical line. I am able to access information from hard drive on my computer. Replaced Headphone Jack Assembly, because ribbon was broken. I get no start up face or battery info. Does anyone have any ideas?

I guess I should say it seem to, because I can't get info from Ipod it self.

Well if it still syncs up and you can actually still control the ipod with the clickwheel albeit blindly, it is probably just the screen, otherwise it'll be the logic board.

Justin,
Thanks! I was able to access music and controls, (albeit blindly). Will try replacing screen.
Thanks again
