Post subject: MacBook pro keyboard help

The keys at the top of my macbook pro (to adjust brightness, sound, num lock, etc) are bound wrong. For instance, when I press num lock (f6), the keyboard brightness level lowers.

I just started having this problem when I replaced my keyboard. The new MBP's have a keyboard style where the apple sign button is replaced by "Command". I think my computer thinks it has this kind of keyboard, but it doesnt.

Hope this makes sence. Thanks.

On the new style Macbook Pro keyboards F6 is for keyboard brightness so it should do that. From our experience, if you change to the newer keyboard and have Leopard, it will automatically start using the new key mapping.

But if your current keyboard has the Apple symbol still and doesn't have the dashboard and expose function keys, something is weird with that keyboard and I'd get it exchanged.
