I dropped my macbook. The screen is bright but no longer has images. I opened it up to look at the cables, all seemed good. I see traces of images bit it looks like a single opixel line horizontal and no verticals. New screen, new cables or both?

It sounds more like a display cable problem, but if the cable doesn't look pinched at all, it may be the LCD.

So are you suggesting just ordering and replacing cables or the whole lot, screen, cables and all?

It is up to you. It sounds like a cable problem, but I can't guarantee it, so you could order just the cable and it may fix it, but its possible it could something else.
