Post subject: iBook not booting up  Posted: Wed Dec 19, 2007 8:00 am |

When I turn on my iBook all I get is the apple logo. Cursor is a turning circle. Battery is fine. iBook worked fine yesterday, got stuck and I had to force turn it off. Please help?????

It is usually a software problem so that is what I would check first. If you boot up from your install or restore cd, you can go up into the menu at the top and run Disk Utility. With Disk Utility, you can run a scan of your hard drive ("Repair Disk") and correct any errors. Afterwards run "Repair Permissions" and it will attempt to fix any corrupt files that could be halting the startup process.
