The hard drive started to make loud clicking noises and was just recently replaced with a newly purchase hard drive from Powerbook medic (100 GB 7200 RPM Hitachi) and now after being fully charged, the laptop will not start up. Any ideas??

After replacing the drive, did the unit ever boot, or did it stop booting after replacing the drive?

try to boot from a dvd and then format the drive with disc utility then install the os on the formatted drive
