I am running a G4 IBook with OS 10.4.10
Classic Startup mode hangs and freezes just about 1/16" from the end of the start up
I have done the Pram reset, I have removed Classic Preferences
but it still fails thus I can't get to my older software
Any ideas?

Andy,
Your OS9 version is likely corrupt, and you need to reinstall the OS. The beauty of OS9 is that you can do this by simply copying and replacing your old System Folder with a backup version.
