Hello all,
Great site, I just found it. My PowerBook 12" was carelessly dropped from waist height!!
The main casing - underneath/bottom of chassis is warped but that is not my main concern.
The latch at the top of the screen housing does not retract after opening the lid.
Does anyone know if there is a spring that needs resetting - if so does the repair manual cover the steps needed to do this please?

you can try cleaning out behind it to see if there is any built up gunk, but besides that you may have to replace the front bezel which we sell for $99.95
