Just upgraded my PB CD ROM drive to a SuperDrive. New drive reads, writes CD's and Plays DVD just like my old drive before it crapped out. But new SuperDrive I purchased from PBM doesn't recognize a blank DVD. It's a DVD-R 8X disk which works fine in my other SuperDrive Mac.
So do I need a firmware upgrade or what?
I'm running OS 10.4.3 with 1MB Ram. System profiler list this drive MATSHITA CD-RW CW-8124: and FirmWare of DZ13.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
