Battery disconnects

It seems my battery is loose enough that when I pick up the powerbook, the machine crashes when it is not plugged in. Is there a way to adjust the battery/case to keep a tight connection?

I would guess one of the catches got broke or worn down. I wouldnt know if its a problem with the battery or the case. If you had another battery to test you could eliminate the case.

other than that.. there is always duct tape

I found that if I cut a small piece off a credit card and insert it just above the contacts on the battery, it keep a connection.

sounds like its probably something with the contacts on the battery then according to your description. hopefully that'll last you.

The problem is likely your Rib Frame. Is the part that includes the battery latch mechanism. The frame is available from our online store. The one you need will vary depending on the model that you've got.
