Help,
My display will appear black upon a restart or upon waking from sleep. This happens about 60% of restarts. Granted now that I run sys 10.3 I rarely have to restart, but if I do, I have the chance that I will have to shut down for a few seconds before restarting so that I can view my screen.
If I look at the screen at just the right angle (when it goes black) I can see that the images/desktop are up. It's like a very dark dark room. I can just make out the furniture...Sometimes I can navigate to the restart menu, but most times I have to hit the power down button in the back of the powerbook, wait a few seconds and start up.
Also, from top to bottom, my screen has a noticeable shift in saturation. Images toward the top are just a half shade richer than the bottom. This problem showed up just before the dark problem
Is this a display problem, or a display light problem. Is the display converter going goofy?
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. I need my powerbook for print work and this diplay problem is one that I'd love to fix.
Thanks

I would say its the inverter board going bad since you say the largest problem is the extremely dim screen.
