Hi guys,
I just installed a new logic board in my Ti laptop and I powered up and the fan doesn't go on. I know most desktop CPU fans are always on and I guess I assumed that was the case with laptops too. Can anyone verify if that is the case or not.
Many thanks.

Its not the case that the fan is always on. Its supposed to come on when the CPU reaches a certain temperature. However, I have been wondering how you can test the fan without heating up the CPU to make sure the fan isn't busted. You are probably wondering the same thing. Does anyone have the answer.
Thanks

You can't test the fan from within the unit. You just have to wait until your unit heats up.
