 Post subject: Backlight flashes once on the right side of screen, then...

...NOTHING. Just a faint image. So can anyone tell me if it's the backlight, or the inverter board, or can it be tested? I've already had the sucker apart once to fix the hinge. Then I glued the screen shut really good...so it better be the inverter. Please help, don't have an inverter to swap out. Want to lend me one?

but exact same symptoms. I just replaced my hinge and then a day or two later the screen doesn't work?

It is likely a pinched inverter cable. Check the inverter cable that feeds in through the hinge to make sure it is not getting pinched or is not damaged.
