I've been nursing the diplay hinges for a while now, but I think its toast.
When I powerup, the display remains black.
When I tried to use an external monitor, it appears white on the top third of the screen and the filled with horizontal lines on the bottom two thirds of the screen.
The hinges are clearly gone as I've had to "prop" the display up.
I can also hear a little something rattling around free inside there when I move the PB around.
Currently looking to pull the hard drive out and pop inside a willing doner to recover the HD files.....no, not everything was backed up as it should have been. sigh.
Any suggestions?
The good news...a new 15" G4 is in the mail as we speak.
