Actually, its closer to three now.
Which components must be present to startup a Pismo?
I have been trying to start from CD with no HD present, and no top half (Display) attached. Been using the external VGA port.
So far, not had a peep out of them. Completely dead.
I have tested two so far, and whileboth would charge a battery, neither tried to start. I thought I could hear a CPU going when there was no monitor connected, but when i connected it, got nothing.
Should it start like this with the external monitor? Or do I need keyboard and mouse too? What about a HD?

Both machines now start up, from OS 9.2 CD.
Neither will recognise an internal HD. Tred a 4GB with OS 8.6 (I know it won't boot, nut should read), a 20GB with 9.2.2 and 10.2.8 and a 30GB with 10.3.2. Doesn't see any of them. They all work in my Lombard.
I'm really hoping its a problem with the HD cable though I have tried two different ones.
Any thoughts?
Is this a known issue?
