Post subject: Logic board test: ATA 4/1/2 error  Posted: Thu Nov 06, 2003 3:01 pm |

I have problems getting my upgraded pismo to start. When I ran a test on the logic board using the Pismo test CD, it reports ATA 4/1/2 error. When I boot up from the OS 9 CD, the Apple HD setup cannot find the hard drive. Is it a problem with the hard drive ribbon? The HD itself is brand new and I have successfully formatted it and installed OS 9 using another pismo.

If it isn't the cable then it is your logic board. The logic board is more likely, but I'd start with the cable.
