Post subject: Unable to delete partition
PostPosted: Mon Oct 06, 2003 11:32 am
I have an iBook with a 10g hardrive. It originally came with Mac OS 9.1 and 10.0. I have upgraded to Mac OS 10.2.8, but after I have done a complete install, it is now showing 6g and 4g are unformatted. How can I remove the partition and take full advantage of my whole hardrive?

I have tried using the restore disks for OS 9.1, but since I have installed 10.2 it does not allow me to do this.

Is there any software I can use, like Partition Magic for pc's?

Thanks,

Victor

You need to reformat your drive. Apple has a program called disk utility which is free and comes with your original software cds. It should also be on your hard drive, but you have to run it from the cd. Run that, and you'll be set.
