Post subject: Powerbook 3400 Display Dim
PostPosted: Tue Jun 29, 2004 6:10 pm
My Powerbook 3400 works well, as long as there is an external monitor attached. According to the manual, if the display is not set to 800 x600 at 60 HZ then the internal powerbook screen will be blank. That's what it is. However, in my control panel options, that is not an option. I've reinstalled the monitor preferences as well as the control panel for monitors. Any suggetion as to what could cause this?

Peggy, it might be that the internal cable connecting the notherboard to the LCD might of come loose. if you can open up the laptop you can check for this.
