Hello There!
I recently revived an old TiBook (667 DVI). It's working wonderfully, but the fan NEVER comes on. I've tried everything to test it, including running Unreal '03 for about 15 minutes, which should trigger some sort of fan action. The computer gets hot, but not nearly as hot as my 12-inch PowerBook (1GHz DVI).
My questions: How often should the fan come on? How do I know if the fan is busted? Does the fan itself have thermometers on it that sense the internal temp, or are there temp sensors all over the motherboard and a system that triggers the fan? How do I know that the fan is busted and not this system (if there is one)?
Thanks!
-Dustin

Okay, nevermind! The fan came on tonight while I was watching a DVD. All systems go!
Cheers,
Dustin
