I just got a 3400c and it has a problem. It always acts as though the shift key is pressed; i.e., boots with extensions off, can't double-click, all characters upper case, clicking on several icons individually selects all. I first tried replacing the keyboard - same result. I connected an external keyboard and started from it - same result. I completely removed the built-in keyboard and started from the external - same result. So the problem is not within the keyboard itself. What could be causing this? Any help greatly appreciated.

that is very strange. i would see if it does it without a keyboard at all hooked up. if so I would try zapping the PRAM but other than that I guess it could be a weird logic board problem.
