I cannot remove the battery from my 15" Ti PB. The latch is stuck between the open & closed positions. Any advice on how to unjam it?

my friend faced the same problem with her pb too. she just send it to the service center and it was fixed within a few hours.
prior to that she used a safety pin and got the jam batt out but once she place it back the same problem arises..
