Zinger 1.33 ghz

My dad had recently gotten a New Powerbook 17" 1.33 ghz laptop. The screen doesn't work though. I get the chime and I have tried using the dvi port to get an external monitor going, but doesn't work. I have been searching for days on end. This is the best place I have found. So I wanted to put this post out there to see if anybody has any ideas on what to do. Its too new so nobody knows much about it. Thanks

and was wondering if maybe the screen inverter would have an effect on this, I'm not really sure what that does thanks
