My 65W portable power adapter has failed. The green/orange led no longer operates when plugged in; the adapter does not charge the battery; but the adapter itself gets hot. When the failure happened the adapter grew very hot and a slight burning smell resulted. Is this purely a failure of the adapter, or is it likely to have caused damage to the powerbook (which is operating fine on the battery, for about the next two and a half hours). If this is likely to be just the adapter, are these available to buy on their own?
