 Post subject: Fan on G4 400 MHz not working

Hi,
I picked up a used G4 400MHz model and the fan won't work at all. I have installed a new one but it does not work either. What would control the fan on these models? Your help would be appreciated as I am worried about burning up the motherboard if I do not solve this problem.
