Ok, so I dumped coffee on my PB Ti 667. After cleaning and drying, all is well, except that the trackpad button seems to be generating a continuous stream of spurious "mouse clicks".
I am using an external mouse now (and have enabled "ignore trackpad when mouse is present" in the mouse control panel), but the machine is unusable with the built-in trackpad. I would certainly like to fix this problem.
The spurious clicks go away when I disconnect the trackpad cable connector from the main board, so I believe that the trouble is in the button actuator or the trackpad circuit board. Does this seem reasonable?
Can the trackpad button acuator be replaced independently of the top shell, or is this assembly part of the top shell? Advice please!
