hi,
I see in the store the above battery. Can this really be used in place of the standard G4 rechargeable battery?
I ask as I'm a very light user of my G4 and just noticed that the battery is not charging. The computer was not used for some time - or pluged in. The leds do not light. So, I really would like some simple battery for occasional use.

They are entirely different items. The PRAM battery is a battery that holds settings such as date and time. It is in no way a replacement for your main battery.
